Wheel of Industry, Cast Glass Block #82005. First in "Industrial Fossils" series. This is an old flywheel found at the dump. Bullseye glass with metallic powders giving rust effect. |
Each one is 7.75" x 7.75" and of varying depths. The early ones incorporated ancient fossil forms. A later series, one of which is shown on the home page, includes 20th century industrial fossils. Although these are shown as as autonomous sculptures, I would like to see this technique in multiples, say in a garden or interior wall.
